Extra Curricular Activities

TRAINING

Training is given in all branches like wards, OPD’s, procedure rooms, ECG, X-ray, Scan, OT, Lab, Echo, Treadmill, MRD, CSSD and Casualty. These trainings help the students to develop their practical knowledge and learn new subjects for their practical. Doctors demonstrate the clinical examination, diagnosis and treatment methods. Senior technicians deliver training in the respective field to improve the student’s practical knowledge.

TEACHING

Full time permanent staff of the institute and doctors from Sri Narayani Hospital and Research Centre takes regular classes, conduct periodical tests, revisions, seminars and internal assessment. Senior techinician’s also conduct practical demonstration classes for the students in the attached respective laboratories.

SPORTS

  • A weekly once two-hour sports schedule is allotted for the students to enhance their physical as well as their mental activity.
  • The institute provides all the necessary equipments needed for the sports activities.
  • Students participate in various sporting events both in house and external and win prizes in various categories.

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

  • Students participate in the college festival functions like Pongal, Christmas, Independence Day, Republic Day and Hospital day.
  • They also have a chance to participate and win prizes in other competitive programs held in the college like elocution, essay writing, oration, drawing, painting, speech competition etc.

HEALTH CAMP

  • Students participate in the General health camps, Blood donation camps conducted in various outstation sites organized by the hospital.
  • They are also scheduled to attend the Free health camps covering 55 adopted villages by the Sakthi Amma Health Care Trust to gain experience in rural health status.

EDUCATIONAL EXHIBITIONS

  • Students participate in the health camps, organized by the Government and other health organizations and give guidance and counseling to the people who attend the camp
  • Health Awareness programmes are taught to general public
